Custer County Information
Custer County is a county positioned in the state of Montana. A census established that Custer County had a total population of 11,916 in 2021. Miles City is the current county seat in Custer County.
It was formed in 1865.
It was named in honor of Lieutenant Colonel George Armstrong Custer. He was a United States Army officer and cavalry commander in the American Civil War and the American Indian Wars.

NOTE - In order to get records, Custer County requesters must adhere to several rules. Custer County locals must attain records between 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 a.m. from Monday to Friday. Photo ID is needed to get hold of records in Custer County. State IDs and driver's licenses will do just fine. Only public record applications put in writing will be accepted in Custer County.
