Custer County Information
Custer County is a county positioned in the state of Montana. A census established that Custer County had a total population of 11,916 in 2021. Miles City is the current county seat in Custer County.
It was formed in 1865.
It was named in honor of Lieutenant Colonel George Armstrong Custer. He was a United States Army officer and cavalry commander in the American Civil War and the American Indian Wars.
