Broadwater County Information

The state of Montana contains Broadwater County. In 2020, Broadwater County had a population of 6,774, determined by a local census. The current county seat in Broadwater County is Townsend.

It was formed in 1897.

It was named for Charles Arthur Broadwater, a noted Montana railroad, real estate, and banking magnate.

Broadwater County Criminal Records

Broadwater County records their criminal activity in the form of criminal records. These records cover murders, rapes, burglaries, arson, motor vehicle theft, assaults, and crimes of a sexual nature. Broadwater County Public Records

Then again, to obtain a record copy, residents must also pay a fee. For instance, birth certificates in Broadwater County cost $12 for the first copy.

NOTE - In order to acquire records, Broadwater County requesters must follow a number of rules. The office is only open between 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. from Monday to Friday. In Broadwater County, some form of photo ID is needed to obtain records. State IDs and driver's licenses will do just fine. All public record requests must also be put in writing in Broadwater County.
